UTM link builder

Paste one link and get a tagged URL for every network at once, so you can finally tell which platform sent the clicks.

Your link

Anything already on the link (query string, fragment) is kept.

Why nine links instead of one

One link everywhere
300 clicks and no way to tell which network sent them. The link was identical everywhere, so your analytics has nothing to split them by.
One link per network
Nine rows instead of one. Same campaign name typed once, only utm_source changes.

Keep it lowercase, always. Plenty of analytics tools treat LinkedIn and linkedin as two separate sources, so one autocapitalised week splits a campaign into two half-sized rows that each look like a failure. The same goes for the campaign name.

Common questions

Why not just use one link everywhere?
Because every click then arrives under the same name. Giving each network its own source turns one undivided pile into nine rows you can compare.
My link already has a query string. Will that break?
No. The existing query is kept and the UTM parameters are added after it. A #fragment is kept too, and stays last. An existing utm_ parameter you also set here is replaced, not duplicated.
Does capitalisation matter?
It can, and that is the trap. Plenty of analytics tools report LinkedIn and linkedin as two separate sources. Lowercase costs nothing and removes the question.
What should I put in medium?
utm_medium is free text with no official list. The widespread convention for social posts is social. Using the same word every time matters more than which word you pick.
Is my link sent anywhere?
No. The URLs are assembled in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

Stop doing this by hand

Write the post once. Synapse publishes it to all nine networks on your schedule, with each one’s rules already applied.
